Multi-Engine Class Rating (MEP)

Coming soon to AeroSchool

Flying a multi-engine aircraft is an exciting milestone in any pilot's journey, opening the door to more capable aircraft, greater performance and the next stage of professional flight training.

As AeroSchool continues to invest in its fleet, instructors and training capability, we are working towards introducing Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) Class Rating training, with an anticipated launch during 2026, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.

The Next Step in Your Aviation Journey

The Multi-Engine Class Rating develops the knowledge, skills and confidence required to safely operate aircraft with more than one engine.

Training focuses on advanced aircraft handling, asymmetric flight, engine failure procedures, performance planning and decision-making, preparing pilots to safely operate complex piston aircraft.

For many pilots, the MEP Class Rating is an important stepping stone towards a professional aviation career and forms the foundation for further qualifications such as the Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR) and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).

Building the Right Foundations

Before progressing onto multi-engine training, it's important to develop strong flying skills and experience.

Today, AeroSchool can help you build those foundations through:

  • Private Pilot Licence (PPL)

  • National Private Pilot Licence (NPPL)

  • Night Rating

  • Instrument Rating (Restricted) (IR(R))

  • Aerobatic Rating

  • Structured hour building

  • Professional career guidance

Our experienced instructors will help you prepare for the next stage of your aviation journey while developing the confidence and decision-making skills expected of professional pilots.

Investing in the Future

AeroSchool is committed to building one of the UK's leading independent flight training academies.

As part of that investment, we have expanded our fleet with the addition of the Tecnam P2006T, a modern twin-engine aircraft that represents an important step towards our long-term vision of delivering advanced and professional flight training.

Our Vision

Our ambition is to provide a complete training pathway, allowing students to remain within the AeroSchool family throughout their aviation journey.

Subject to regulatory approval, our planned future training programme is expected to include:

  • Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) Class Rating

  • Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR)

  • Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)

  • Instrument Rating (IR)

  • Additional advanced professional training

These courses are currently under development and are not yet available. All future training remains subject to regulatory approval.
