Advanced Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (AUPRT)
Coming soon to AeroSchool
Advanced Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (AUPRT) is a vital part of modern professional pilot training, developing the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognise, avoid and recover from unusual aircraft attitudes safely and confidently.
As AeroSchool continues to expand its professional training capability, we are working towards introducing Advanced Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (AUPRT), with an anticipated launch during 2027, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.
Our ambition is to provide high-quality, professional training that prepares pilots for the next stage of their aviation careers.
Developing Confidence Beyond Normal Flight
Modern airline and commercial pilots are expected to understand not only how to fly an aircraft in normal conditions, but also how to recognise and recover from situations that fall outside the normal flight envelope.
AUPRT develops a pilot's understanding of:
-
Upset recognition and avoidance
-
Stall awareness and prevention
-
Energy management
-
Aircraft handling beyond normal flight attitudes
-
Threat and error management
-
Decision making under pressure
The course combines classroom theory with practical flight training, building confidence while reinforcing safe flying techniques and sound airmanship.
An Important Step Towards a Professional Career
For many aspiring commercial pilots, AUPRT forms an essential part of the journey towards airline employment.
It complements advanced training such as the Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR) and Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC), helping pilots develop the knowledge, discipline and handling skills expected by today's commercial operators.
Built for the Future
AeroSchool is investing in the future of professional flight training.
Our long-term vision is to provide a complete training pathway, allowing students to progress from their very first lesson through to advanced professional qualifications within one organisation.
Alongside AUPRT, our planned future training programme includes:
-
Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)
-
Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) Theory
-
Instrument Rating (IR)
-
Multi-Engine Class Rating (MEP)
-
Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR)
